|The Wife 101 Series|
There's a story that has gone viral in the world of social media about a man whose mugshot has women going crazy. Despite his rap sheet, the fact that he's currently in jail, his gang affiliated tattoos, and the fact that he's in jail (again), the ladies can't seem to get over how attractive this man appears in his mugshot.
Too many times I've watched women become more consumed by the idea of marriage and the wedding than the actual relationship itself. As much as it might be exciting to plan out your special day or even consider the idea of spending your life with the man you can't stop thinking about, the ability to make a marriage last has a lot to do with if the two people in the relationship can get on one accord. Disagreements can morph from petty battles to all out wars, and if a place of mutual compromise and understanding is never reached, the likelihood of happily ever after is bleak.
Recently, I traveled to Las Vegas...
On Facebook, one of my friends posed a discussion question from her local radio station: Is dating someone without a car (over the age of 25) a deal breaker?
Of course, several FB friends began to chime in with the expected YES. Adults, especially men should have vehicles, unless they live in New York City...right? It all reminds me of that late 90's tune from TLC "No Scrubs." The line is classic. "If you don't have a car and you're walking..." The message is clear. Women (and some men) don't want a man (or woman) with a bus pass unless his/her car is parked at the bus station because he/she doesn't feel like fighting with traffic.
My question to those who feel this way is this...
